Newport Beach LDS Temple photographers

Jennifer and I have shot so many LDS weddings in Newport Beach that we lost track of how many! It's a very challenging temple to shoot in the summer because of the lack of shade. We like to shoot the couple earlier in the morning when the light is better and the weather is much cooler! After the couples get married- we grab the group shots really quick and then head off to the beach or the park for the family formals. Nothing worse than telling 100 of your closest friends and family to stand in the sunlight for an hour in their temple clothes, right?
Doesn't hurt to bring sunglasses and sunblock :)

Here are a few of the more recent weddings we've shot.

This bride was the queen of ETSY! Be sure to check out the reception details- unreal! She designed everything!

Summer time at the NB Temple.
This couple flew in from MO. They got married at the NB Temple and then flew back home for an unbelievable estate reception!
Beautiful couple- they had such an amazing reception at SOCO in Costa Mesa!

Engagement photography props rock!

Do you feel like your engagement photos need something?  Most of us have pinned way too many boring beach photos, right?  The first thing you should do before your engagement shoot is GET INSPIRED! One cool way to not have the same old engagement photos is to bring a few props to the shoot. Something to give it a theme,  personality, or something that means something to you. Forget about the jeans and black t-shirt ideas of the past and start thinking about making your engagement photos -about you!

Balloons! Who doesn't love balloons? Especially at the beach? This couple found some giant balloons that really gave the boring ol' beach shoot some personality!

This couple wanted to use a mailbox for their guests cards at the reception. We decided to have them decorate the mailbox at the engagement session and have some fun with the paint!

Themed engagements?
This couple wanted a western themed engagement since they were flying out to Oklahoma for their big day. Finding a western location in Orange County was easy- the OC Fairgrounds has a great red barn with a sweet old farm truck parked outside! They brought a couple outfits, some great cowboy boots and hats, and loved their western pics:)

Thank you cards are very popular- if you find a cool way to say it, bring it on the shoot with you! (this is also something you can do on your wedding day)
Here is a cool slide show of the balloon couple. Check out the other props they brought to the engagement session!
